Welcome to Meijin Academy Resources section. Here you’ll find a list of tools and websites that will help you build and optimise your online business. Before you dive into the content I just wanted to remind that Some of the links below are affiliate links, which means that if you choose to make a purchase, I will earn a commission. This commission comes at no additional cost to you. Please understand that I have tried all of these companies, and I recommend them because they are helpful and useful, not because of the small commissions I make if you decide to buy something. Please do not spend any money on these products unless you feel you need them or that they will help you achieve your goals.
Building an Online Business
Bluehost: You will get your website up and running in no time with its easy to install tools. You can use your Bluehost account to host multiple domains and there’s no need to pay more for hosting when you’re ready to start another website. Also, they provide outstanding customer service. The chatting box is always available but if you prefer to talk, they happy to call you back. I love their layout pages and how easy it is to use it. Highly recommend it.
ThemeForest: This is my one and only stop when I have to choose a design for a website. Once you have installed WordPress with Bluehost, you are ready to get a beautiful theme. First impressions are the most important, so having nice furniture in your house will attract more people to visit it and stay longer to find out what you have to offer.
Mailchimp: This is my email builder and autoresponder at the present. It is incredibly easy to use and if you are just starting out and looking for saving some money, I would open an account with them. It’s free up to 2000 Subscribers.. Get started now
ScreenFlow: This is my favourite screencasting software. You can record your screen, your voice and record your webcam at the same time. Perfect for video tutorials, Courses and other media. You can also add titles, animation, add images and much more.
VideoHive: Whenever you need a Logo animation, motion graphics and any kind of video template, VideoHive is the place to go. Thinking of making an intro for your courses introduction, or for your Youtube channel? Look no further. Some of the video templates have video tutorials on how to use them as well.
Online Teaching Platforms
Udemy: This is one of my main platform for selling courses online. It’s a very popular website for learning any sort of skills and you’ll find thousands of courses at a reasonable price as well as free courses. It is the largest online course platform out there. User-friendly interface.
SkillShare: Another fast-growing platform for online courses. A bit different from Udemy as it has more creative courses for learning all sort of crafts. It is constantly updating its database with a bigger variety of courses. I suggest having your courses here as well as in Udemy to diversify your income streams.
Teachable: If you want to start selling your courses on your own website look no further. This platform lets you easily upload your lectures, add quizzes and make your course landing pages look gorgeous. You can have a free account and start selling your courses at no extra costs.
